Hotel Pension Grimus

This has arguably the warmest most romantic atmosphere on the mountain. It’s the kind of place where you can get totally wrapped up in the magic of being on the mountain. It’s also the home of Kaptan’s Kitchen, one of the best restaurants around.

Benmore Ski Club

This a casual ski club with rooms starting from $50 a night. But it’s only a short walk from some of the Bourke St chairlift. It’s also got a communal kitchen, so you can save money by bringing your own food.

Mt Buller Chalet Hotel

This is rated one of best alpine hotels in Australia. It boasts jaw-dropping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Rooms start from around $300 a night but you’ll be staying right next to the main chairlift.

Burnt Hut

Don’t be put off by the name. This building is fully standing. In fact it’s standing proudly as one of the most sought-after luxury spots on the mountain. It’s a stunning four bedroom, three bathroom chalet that can comfortably sleep eight to ten people. You can ski in and ski out and it’s got all the mod cons plus a steam room, spa, sauna and drying room. It’ll cost you around $2000 a night for the whole house.

Breathtaker All Suite Hotel and Spa Retreat

On Mt Buller, you don’t get to call a place a retreat unless you really mean it. This place is equipped with a day spa and steam room. And it’s perfect for families because its got games and chill out zones for the kids.

Buller Central YHA

The one’s pretty new. It’s centrally located, and they’re offering                 shared rooms for around $80 a week. They’ve got great kitchen facilities but guests on the weekend get to enjoy a three course dinner and breakfast as part of their weekend rate.
